Websites can be made in many ways, each satisfying different requirements. I focus on delivering what is best for you and your needs, or helping you find someone who can deliver larger projects if necessary.
I create websites in such a manner that you can then make simple changes and additions yourself, allowing you to have control of the website instead of being stuck with something you can’t edit yourself, forcing you into paying
developer’s for every small change needed. However, just because the system allows you to make changes yourself does not mean you have to, I’m still able to help with any additions you want after the initial website creation.
This system is perfect for small businesses, or people looking for personal portfolios/stores (e.g.Artists) as it allows websites to be setup quickly and be expandable for the future while not “cutting corners”.
How does the process work?
If you already have a website that you want recreated to escape a bad system/provider, the process of creating the website is significantly faster as the design work does not have to be completely redone. This is a common request,
along with “modernising” an older website. An example of work of this manner I've carried out can be seen below.
Otherwise, it’s important to have an idea of what you want. What features does your site need? Does it only need to display images and information, or does it need to have an interactive store which can process payments? I can
help you work through exactly what you want, and how those needs affect the technical level of the site and therefore pricing.
How does pricing work?
All websites must be “hosted” somewhere, this costs a recurring fee (annual or monthly). For most websites, that cost is between £8-10/month. If your website includes something such as payment processing or must be able to handle
a much higher number of visitors the monthly cost may be slightly more expensive.
I charge a fee to create the actual website, dependant on the size of the project. All charges are discussed with you before work has begun, and if for any reason the quote I give you may be exceeded it will be discussed with you
to decide how to go forward. For a basic multi-page website, the cost I charge is generally between £100 to £200. However, as the cost is massively dependant on each project’s requirements it’s hard to give an accurate generalisation.
Get in touch so we can work out the details of what you need, how it'll be done, and how much it'll cost. If you're unsure about which path to take on the website creation process, or just want me to clarify any points, I'm more than happy to call and talk about it free of charge.
